Welcome to the first blog for Students for Choice of Northern Kentucky! I am Erin Sandy, Vice President of SfC. As a pro-choice student in the center of the Bible Belt, I've been faced with many obstacles. Growing up in a town that is relatively anti-choice and very religious, I've had to deal with being called a "baby-killer," "murderer" and other horrible names that I would never wish on anyone. It's been a struggle, but I've been able to deal and being at NKU has helped me so much. I now am involved in an organization with the same views as my own and I don't feel so alone as I did at my high school, or in my hometown, or even in my own family.
With the help of Students for Choice, I've learned how to argue my position at the appropriate times and I've also learned about myself in the process.
Thank you for reading. I sincerely hope you come back.
